In March 2012, the Israeli Weapon Industries (IWI) announced the launching of its new light machine gun NEGEV NG7 7.62mm caliber (Technical data sheet armyrecognition.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5214 ) at DefExpo defence exhibition in India and FIDAE 2012 aerospace fair in Chile. The NEGEV NG7 - the newest in the company's NEGEV LMG family - is a 7.62mm caliber LMG in with semi-automatic mode, capable of pinpoint, single bullet shooting for enhanced firing accuracy.
